Mr.Tamizh Creation ("we", "us", "our") operates Mr.Tamil, a platform ("the Service") that helps event photographers and studios ("studios") share event photos and videos with their clients and guests, including AI-based selfie search so a guest can find their own photos. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Data a studio provides to us

To create a Mr.Tamil account, a studio provides data including their name, email address, phone number, business details, and (if signing in with Google) their Google account information.

1.2 Data provided about guests and clients

A studio may record its own guests' and clients' names and phone numbers on the platform — for example, to send an event invite over WhatsApp, track an RSVP, or issue an invoice. A guest may also provide their own phone number directly, for example when opting in to receive a WhatsApp notification about their photos.

1.3 Photos, videos, and face data

Event photos and videos are uploaded by a studio — via the web dashboard, a Google Drive import, or a camera connected over FTP. When a guest submits a selfie to find their own photos, it is processed to compute a face-embedding and is not written to disk or retained after that search completes. To power this search, faces detected in a studio's own uploaded photos are converted into embeddings scoped to that one event; these are deleted when the event is deleted.

1.4 Billing and payment data

Invoice and payment records a studio creates for its own clients are stored on the platform. Card, UPI, and other payment instrument details are handled directly by our payment processor, Cashfree — we do not receive or store full payment credentials ourselves.

1.5 Service use data

When anyone accesses Mr.Tamil, our servers automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, access times, browser type, and the pages/features used. This is used for security and to keep the service running reliably.

1.6 Cookies and similar technologies

We use session and CSRF cookies to keep a studio signed in and to protect forms from cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How we use your data

2.1 Providing the service

Hosting and delivering event photos/videos, running selfie-based search, running each studio's public website, and managing studio accounts, clients, and invoices.

2.2 Communications

Sending WhatsApp messages a studio or guest has requested — such as an event invite link or a notice that photos are ready — via Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform.

2.3 Payments

Processing payments a studio's client makes toward an invoice, via Cashfree.

2.4 Customer support

Investigating, responding to, and resolving issues or complaints raised by a studio or guest.

2.5 Security

Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts or event data.

We don't sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Mr.Tamil, each acting under its own privacy terms:

Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform — to deliver WhatsApp messages a studio or guest has opted into.
Cashfree Payments — to process payments; we never see or store full card/bank details ourselves.
Google — for "Continue with Google" sign-in, and optionally to import a studio's Google Business reviews if the studio enables that feature.
DigitalOcean — our cloud hosting and storage provider, which stores uploaded photos/videos and the application database on our behalf.

We never share or sell biometric (face) data to any third party, and we don't use it for anything beyond matching a guest to their own event photos. We may also disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

4. Your device data

If you access Mr.Tamil from a mobile device or browser, we may receive information about that device — such as its operating system, browser type, and screen size — purely to render the site correctly and keep the service secure. We do not use this to build cross-app advertising profiles.

5. How long we keep data

A guest's selfie itself is never stored — it's processed in memory for the duration of one search and discarded.
Face embeddings derived from event photos are deleted when the event is deleted by the studio.
Event photos/videos, guest contact details, and billing records are retained for as long as the studio's account and event data exist on the platform, or as required by applicable law (e.g. billing records for tax purposes).

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or ask a studio to do so directly if the data was provided to them (e.g. your RSVP details). To make a request or raise a concern, contact us using the details below.

7. Children's data

Mr.Tamil is intended for use by studios and their adult clients/guests. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond what naturally appears in event photos (e.g. a child present at a wedding).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
